Amanda Worthington

hair.jpg

My name is Amanda and I'm a horror writer. It's taken a long time to admit this about myself, but now that I've found my tribe, I'm happier than I've ever been!

I chair Horror in the Heartland, the MO/KS chapter of the Horror Writers' Association. I also volunteer as the scholarship coordinator for 2023, run a critique group in Kansas City, and work full-time as a librarian.

When I'm not writing, I'm playing Zelda, working a crossword puzzle, running, cooking, or at my local cinema.

I'm newer to this journey but do have a couple self-published books of poetry. I've had poetry published by Space and Time and fiction published in H. Everend's Horrorscope anthology.

Dan B. Fierce

Dan B. Fierce loves humor and horror alike, and many things in between. A long-time fan of
authors like Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and Edgar Alan Poe, he lets his darker side come out in the
macabre, Revenge; demonstrates the tension caused by the corona virus with Mistaken; and gives
the reader a taste of dark humor with Warning Shot; all contained between the covers of the 2020
Indie Authors’ Short Story Anthology.

His suspense-filled story Abandoned Bikes published in Crimes
and Culprits: An Anthology
by the Indie Author Group, won second place in the Missouri Writer’s Guild’s
2022 President’s Award Contest. Both books were put out by Heathory Press.

In 2022, he made his solo short story publication debut with Roadkill King and had his story The Nothing included in Woodneath Press’s Community Voices III anthology. He has also recently had a poem published in the Horror Writers
Association’s Poetry Showcase IX. This year kicked off with his story El Cangrejo finding a home in the first volume of the HorrorScope anthology series.

Dan resides in the Kansas City, Missouri, area with his long-time husband of twenty-plus years.
