Query for my novel The Revenants of Reckoning

I'm seeking an agent for my completed novel and have sent out a number of queries on query tracker and through email but have received no positive responses. The only comment I got was that one agent liked the graphic content but I did too much telling and not enough showing. My story involves a child murderer. I also mention Lovecraft whose writing I admire but I of course don't agree with his bigotry. I would like to get more feedback on my query to see if there's anything I'm doing or not doing that turns an agent off. I worked with a HWA mentor and he told me to go for it and start querying agents. Thank you.
